Mr. Gonzalez has a passion for boxing having been in and around the sport for over thirty years. It all began in 1973 in the alleys of East LA when a group of police officers invited him to join them at the gym located at the basement of the Hollenbeck Police Department. There he began his training as an amateur boxer at the age of nine.
After marrying and having children, he returned to the boxing arena as a youth trainer in 1988. He continues to be a trainer to young athletes in various youth centers throughout Los Angeles.
In between his time as a youth trainer, Eddie began working with and managing professional boxers like Francisco “Panchito” Arce, Salvador Casillas, Jesus Valderas, Daniel “El Travieso Hernandez, Efrain Esquivias and Luis Martinez .
Mr. Gonzalez has also succeeded in his previous professions as a Production Control Manager, Materials Manager and Production Supervisor for such companies as DAS Nissan North America, Roller Bearing of America, California Avi-Tron and Vought Aircraft .
Now with his newly formed Crossroads Promotions, he hopes to share his passion to make his company a World-class promoter for up-and-coming talented fighters. He believes in empowering the fighters through promoting events, providing adequate counsel, and taking care of fighter safety needs.
